The house is close to Piedmont's most famous wine regions, Barolo and Barbaresco. But you don't need to drive far: several wineries are within walking distance of the house, including Boeri Vini, Baldi di Burio, Cascina Castlet and Tenuta Ronzano, all offering tastings.

Costigliole d'Asti, our nearest town, hosts Rosso Barbera at the castle every autumn, with more than 400 Barbera wines from over 200 producers. Through July and the first week of August there's the Barbera Summer Festival every Wednesday: taste more than 100 different wines, eat street food and listen to music, outdoors.

I Barolo-området må dere også få med dere Vietti i Castiglione Falletto, med kjelleren under landsbyen og utsikt over vinmarkene, og G.D. Vajra i Vergne like ved Barolo, og Agricola Brandini i La Morra, en økologisk vingård med flott utsikt. Alle ligger rundt 35–40 minutter unna og krever bestilling.

In the Barolo area, don't miss Vietti in Castiglione Falletto, with its cellars beneath the village and views over the vineyards, and G.D. Vajra in Vergne, just outside Barolo, and Agricola Brandini in La Morra, an organic winery with a great view. All are about 35–40 minutes away and need to be booked.

Den hvite trøffelen fra Alba er stjernen i det piemontesiske kjøkkenet. Sesongen varer fra begynnelsen av oktober til begynnelsen av desember. The white truffle of Alba is the star of Piedmontese cooking. The season runs from early October to early December. The 96th International Alba White Truffle Fair (Fiera Internazionale del Tartufo Bianco d'Alba) takes place every Saturday and Sunday from 10 October to 6 December 2026. The neighbouring farm grows truffles. We had a great truffle hunt with Tenuta Ronzano, about 2 km away, who also do wine tastings with truffle eggs.
